Nurse Practitioner Carol Morrison moved to Luverne shortly after birth and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Troy University. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama in the school’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program. She is certified with both the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of Nurse Practitioner Alliance Alabama, Wiregrass Nurse Practitioner Organization, American Nurses Association, Alabama Nurses Association, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Nasser Samuy attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. He trained in Family Medicine at Clarion Hospital in Clarion, Pennsylvania. Dr. Stephen Brandt attended medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He began his specialization in children at Keesler Medical Center on Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. He is a board-certified member of the American Board of Pediatrics.
Millicent R. Harrison, NP-C
Millicent, is a native of Slocomb, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Auburn University. Her nursing background consists of newborn, pediatric, and maternal health at Flowers Hospital and in the Family Birth Center at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. With the desire to do more for her patients, she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Auburn University.
Millicent is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is also a member of the Wiregrass Nurse Practitioner Association. She now resides in Dothan, Alabama, where she attends Calvary Baptist Church and enjoys running, baking, and painting. Millicent’s passion has always been the newborn and pediatric population, and she is honored to serve the community at Enterprise Children's Center.
Jessica E. Poitevint, CRNP
Jessica is a native of New Brockton, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Troy University in 2007. She found a passion for pediatrics after working as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Jessica’s pre-graduate focuses include newborns, pediatrics, and women’s health. She obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing from South University.
She is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Association as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Jessica now resides in New Brockton, Alabama, with her husband and three children.

Dr. Arnold grew up in Dothan, AL and attended Dothan High School. After graduating high school, Dr. Arnold attended the University of South Alabama where he majored in Chemistry. He then attended the College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Arnold completed Family Medicine Residency in Huntsville, AL at the University of Alabama School of Medicine Family Practice program. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Arnold is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Alabama Academy of Family Physicians and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama. He has been practicing in Geneva, AL since 1982. He and his staff are excited to join Southeast Alabama Rural Health Associates (SARHA) and continue providing quality care to the residents of Geneva and the surrounding area.
Jamie Johnson, CRNP
Jamie Johnson is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family Medicine. Jamie is a 2003 graduate of Kinston High School. He attended Lurleen B. Wallace in Opp, AL where he received his associates degree in Nursing in 2008. He then attended Jacksonville State Community College where he received his bachelors degree in Nursing 2014. He worked at Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva as a Registered Nurse in the ER and ICU for over 10 years as a staff nurse and in nursing administration. Jamie completed his masters degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner track at The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 2018. Jamie joined Dr. Arnold's practice in 2018. He and his wife Tori have two children, Brayden and Wyatt. In his spare time, Jamie enjoys playing guitar and following college football. Jamie is excited to join SARHA's Geneva Family Health Center and continue providing quality health care to the residents of Geneva and the surrounding area.

Christie Mitchell, CRNP
Christie began her nursing career in 1997 after graduating from Lurlene B Wallace Community College as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She ventured on to continue her nursing education with an associate degree in Nursing in 2007 with Wallace Community College of Dothan. During this time, she expanded her nursing skills by working in Surgery, ER, and ICU, Home health and hospice. She also served as a clinical mentor for other nurses while completing her education. She advanced her education in 2017 at the University of Alabama and completed her Master of Nursing in 2019 with Auburn University. She graduated with honors. She has spent over 25 years of her nursing career serving the Wiregrass Community.
She is a member of Nurse Practitioner Alliance, Wiregrass Nurse Practitioner and American Nursing Association.
She and her spouse of 27 years, Adam, reside in Enterprise, Al. She has been blessed to raise her children in the Wiregrass area.
Having grown up and lived in the Wiregrass area all of her life, Christie considers it an honor to serve the people of the Wiregrass as a nurse practitioner. She is excited to be part of the SARHA family and looks forward to serving the community at Slocomb Family Health Center

Dr. Donette Bish was born in Lennox, Iowa. She received her undergraduate degree from Buena Vista University, Storm Lake, IA, and then attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (Kirksville, MO), where she received her medical degree. She trained in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at Metropolitan Hospital in association with State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Walters completed his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina and residency at Armed Health Family Medicine in South Carolina. Carrie is a native of Troy, AL. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Troy University. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Auburn University in May 2020. Her nursing background consist of emergency care nursing at Baptist Medical Center South, hematology/oncology at Montgomery Cancer Center and Intensive Care Unit at Troy Regional Medical Center. Carrie is Board Certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Being a native of Troy she is excited and honored to have the opportunity to join the SARHA family and provide care to the community she loves.
Morgan Bennett, CRNP
Returning to her family roots in July of 2000, Morgan Williams Bennett is a local of Troy, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Troy University. Remaining a faithful alumna, she returned to Troy University for her Master of Science and obtained her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has a background in sports medicine , emergency care, and occupational health. She is Board Certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She feels blessed that the SARHA family has given her the opportunity to provide care locally to her friends and neighbors of the community and she is now accepting new patients at the SARHA Doctors Center in Troy.
Bernadette Wood, M.D.
Dr. Bernadette Wood grew up in Columbus, Georgia and completed her undergraduate study at Wofford College where she graduated Cum Lade in 2007. Her Bachelors of Science degree was in chemistry. She received her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia in 2013 and received awards for both the most outstanding medical student for Internal Medicine and Pediatrics respectively.
She went on to residency in the Internal Medicine-Pediatrics program with Greenville Health System, where she served as chief resident. She is board certified in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Wood takes a special interest in newborn care, child development, adolescent/young adult care, sports medicine, preventative health care and partnering with patients to encourage healthy lifestyle patterns.
Bernadette and her husband, Shiel, have two daughters, Fay (9) and Grace (2). Bernadette enjoys exercising, spending time with family, being involved in her church and cheering on the Troy Trojans.
Sarah E. Dowdy
Sarah is a native of Loxley, Alabama. She then attended and graduated from Troy University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in May 2016. Her nursing career has included care for all ages from newborns to geriatrics. She discovered her love of pediatric medicine after working as a Labor and Delivery and pediatric nurse in Dothan before she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Troy University.
Sarah is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is also a member of the Wiregrass Nurse Practitioner Association. She now resides in Jack, Alabama, where she enjoys reading, traveling, and almost anything outdoors. Joseph H. Sewell, II, M.D.
Dr. Joesph Sewell is originally from Panama City, FL but moved to Mobile to attend medical school at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Sewell completed a residency in June 1998. He is Board Certified in Family Practice Medicine and has been serving the Dothan area since July 2002.
Cindy Milstead, CRNP
Cindy Milstead, MSN,FNP-C, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina in 1982. For the next fourteen years she worked as a Certified Emergency Nurse in a Level One trauma center as well as a busy urban Emergency Department. In 1996 she became a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated Cum Laude with a Master's degree in nursing from Georgia State University.
Cindy has always been interested in the education of her colleagues. She served as part-time faculty at Kennesaw State University. She also precepted Nurse Practitioner students from several universities in Metro Atlanta.
Her focus has always been family medicine. For eighteen years she cared for newborns and geriatric patients. Now with SARHA, she manages the health of adolescents to the ederly. She has a particular interest in women's healthcare. She provides preventative health exams as well as manages care for women throughout their life span.
Cindy is a current member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She moved to Dothan to be closer to extended family and joined SARHA in 2015. She now enjoys providing care for a variety of patients throughout the Wiregrass.
